A Look at the Week Ahead

As part of our recognition of Veteran’s Day, during Advisory the entire school, both Lumen and RHS, as well as the Middle School assembled in the Ripon High School Gymnasium for the Veteran’s Day Remembrance and Observation Program.

Tomorrow is the third- and final day- of WKCE testing! Following is the schedule:

Day Three: Tuesday, November 12
Freshmen – Report to Advisory at 7:50 for EXPLORE test (pre-ACT exam) from 7:50 – 10:25 A.M.

Sophomores – WKCE day three from 7:50 – 10:25 A.M.

Juniors, Seniors, and parents – Ripon College visit
Interested students (and parents) should sign up for this trip by noon on November 4. The bus will leave at 8:00 A.M. from the front lobby entrance and return to the high school around 10:15 A.M. Parent permission is required.

1st hour class begins at 10:30 A.M.

This Thursday will  mark the beginning of the Lumen Poinsettia Fundraiser. We use the funds raised to support student projects and help fund class trips, such as Vertical Ventures. Students will be bringing home order forms Thursday. The poinsettias are from Pick-n-Save and come in a 6 inch pot, 4 to 7 blooms each, red, pink or white in color. The color of the poinsettia is on a first come first serve basis. Vouchers will be issued by Pick-n-Save so the plants can be picked up at the store. Please do your best to support our fundraiser- the money raised will directly benefit our students!

Also on Thursday, a group of 10 Lumen students and 2 staff members will take a trip to a Rush Lake farm to pick squash that will then be donated to the Ripon Food Pantry. This is yet another way Lumen students are involved in our community.
