Over the summer I participated in a Shedd Aquarium high school marine biology program. To sum it up, I went to the Bahamas for a week with the Shedd Aquarium staff, got to meet the Shark Lab staff in Bimini, snorkeled in the ocean, participated in several different science methods(beach seine, quadrats, etc.), saw and experienced amazing things, and made lifelong friends. My favorite part was swimming with sharks – nurse, black tip, and a Caribbean reef shark. Here are some photos from my trip.
